Flares and Flared Jeans
When we think of the seventies flares or kickflared jeans are probably the first thing that springs to mind. This is one of the most versatiles and easy to wear looks for the summer. Wear your flares with a simple t shirt of chiffon blouse for an everyday way to work 70s fashion.
Maxi Dress
Of course the maxi dress is a huge seventies trend that has been around for quite a few seasons. Look for floaty chiffon fabrics and beatiful floral prints.
Seventies Style Midi Dress
If you find the maxi length dresses difficult to wear, midi dresses were also really popular for the seventies and work really well for parties. Look for frills and ruffles, bows, halternecks and hanky hems.
Boho Top
Anything boho works really well with the seventies trend. Look for loose fitting tops with billowing sleeves.
Waist CoatShort cropped waistcoats are an easy way to add a little seventies style to any outfits. A pretty lace waistcoat looks amazing when worn over a floral dress but they also look great with a pair of flares and long top.
Palazzo Pants
One of the hottest seventies styles for the summer is loose fitting palazzo trousers. These trousers are great for a sophistacated take on 70s fashion. I love these floral palazzo trousers but there are also plain options around.
A wide brimmed hat is the perfect way to keep cool on those long hot summer days. It also adds a touch of sophisticated romance to any summer outfit.
Fringed Bag
Any sort of fringe detail will work well this summer. An across the body fringed bag looks great with denim and is a really practical addition to any outfit.
Now all we need is some fabulous summer weather so that we can really make the most of this trend.

trends can be co confusing.. but of everything here, may faves are the hat and the jeans

great choices! I especially love the lace waistcoat! Such a handy item to finish an outfit or add another layer if the sun is not out ( as it tends to be where I live!) I feel a trip to M&S coming on....
