Style Eyes Fashion Blog Goes Green

Style Eyes Fashion Blog is the latest in a number of designers, celebrities and fashion bloggers to switch their focus to green and ethical fashion. The blog has also changed its name to Style Eyes Ethical Fashion Blog can now be found at www.ethical fashionblog.com.

Ceri Heathcote, founder of Style Eyes Ethical Fashion Blog, made the change after realising that there was more to looking stylish than constantly buying cheap bad quality fast fashion. She discovered that it is possible to combine a love of fashion with charity, second hand, vintage and ethical clothing. She has also joined the army of fashionistas who are getting creative to refashion and upcycle old clothes for a unique and sustainable alternative to shopping on the high street and sharing their creations through online social networks.

Ceri says “How could I enjoy wearing and writing about clothes that had been made at the expense of both people and the planet? Blogging about second hand and ethical fashion is the perfect way to indulge my love of clothes without any guilt and hopefully inspire others to get involved too.”

Ladies Fashion Trends Autumn/Winter 2011

As the autumn and winter seasons arrive, so too does the collection of brand new styles and colours in ladies fashion. With the return of 40’s fashion, we see the skirt suit make an impact as one of the key fashion trends this season, with styles to suit the silhouette of your body, and to show off your gorgeous curves. The pencil skirt is a wardrobe must-have for autumn/winter, and is an ideal ladies fashion piece to wear to the office.


Leather makes a return as one of the key trends for this season, and you can find it in almost any piece of clothing, including dresses, skirts, leggings and jackets. Leather jackets are perfect for not only looking fantastic this season, but it will also keep you warm and cosy during those cold wintry nights. If you don’t want to wear an outfit which is made fully of leather, you can even wear a pair of trousers or a dress with leather panelling.

Rather than hide in dark and bleak colours over the autumn/winter season, the ladies fashion trend this year is all about bright and bold colours. We have seen lots of celebrities wearing vibrant coloured outfits recently, and bright colours have also been seen in abundance on the catwalk. In addition, beige and black are important colours to look out for.

The print and pattern trend also returns this season, with anything from stripes to polka dots being highly stylish in ladies fashion. Choose your patterns wisely to suit your body shape, and if you can get them tailored to suit, all the better. Patterned outfits are a good investment, as they are set to be another key trend for Spring/Summer 2012, no harm in being prepared!
